Jana’s Campaign has trained staff and board members who can speak at your school on issues of teen dating violence. We are available on a limited basis to speak and we can tailor our message to fit various audiences and the needs of your school. Topics can range from identifying dangerous signals in a dating relationship to promoting healthy and respectful relationship behaviors.
We are available for school assembly presentations, small group workshops, and other types of speaking engagements. Contact us about your presentations needs and dates.
“After learning about Jana’s Campaign and visiting your website, I was able to find the courage to leave an abusive relationship.”
“I think the best part of the presentation was the personal stories because they made me realize that this problem can happen to anyone. I feel like it really impacted us because people will share what they learned with others and make more people aware of domestic violence happening.”
“I thought the presentation had a great message and was well-received by our students. This was the most attentive they have been for an assembly in a long time.”
I am honestly so glad that you guys came to talk about domestic abuse in my classroom. I feel that it is something that is ignored, pushed to the side, or played off as not a big deal. I grew up fearing for my mother’s life after she divorced my father after the police stopped helping her because ‘it was pointless” even though there were threats of killing her and she had evidence of these threats. You can’t really open up to anyone about this either because they don’t understand or they put you down for staying in the abusive relationship so they feel as if the women deserve it for staying with him. I feel like this is an extremely important issue that everyone needs to be aware of. Everyone needs to know the signs.
Christie Brungardt’s presentation on domestic violence was POWERFUL and touched my son. He talked and talked – and we talked as a family – he shared EVERYTHING about what she had to say. GREAT IDEA for a speaker!!
I really enjoyed the assembly! It was interesting and opened my eyes to a lot of things I never thought about.
